Awards Committee
The Awards Committee recognizes excellence in the daily management of office buildings through building recruitment, mentorship & judging of the local, Regional, and international competitions. The committee plans our Local and Regional Workshops, Annual Awards Gala and After Party held in October. This committee is also charged with the Awards of Excellence program nominees and judging.
The committee consists of a Principal Member Chair, Associate/Professional Member Co-Chair.
Staff Liaison: Director of Programs and Events
Responsibilities
- Recruit buildings to enter the competition.
- Mentor a building.
- Participate on a subcommittee.
- Judge (Local, Regional, and International)
- Secure sponsorships.
- Event promotion.
- Secure volunteers.
- Attend a TOBY Workshop.
Meeting Schedule
First Wednesday from 12pm- 1pm, via Zoom (Second Wednesday in January)
January, March, April, May, June, August, November
Time Committment
Committee Meetings are one hour per month
Building mentorship will take place from January – August. You will set your own schedule and it will be about a five-hour commitment.
Each committee member will be assigned to work on a subcommittee, the time commitment is two-hours.
TOBY local judging, the in person building tours take place in August or September for one day from 8AM - 6PM.
TOBY Regional/International Judging: Takes place from March – May with a Five-hour commitment. (Approx. 5 buildings@ one hour each)
Committee members are expected to attend the event.
