Second Wave Support: Fire Recovery Donation Drive
Be Part of the Recovery: Host a Donation Box
As our community continues to recover from the devastating fires, the need for support remains critical. To provide sustained assistance, we are launching the Second Wave Support: Fire Recovery Donation Drive, a thoughtful initiative to address ongoing needs after the initial response.
The drive will run from January 20 to February 7, with all donated items sorted and distributed on February 15. This timeline ensures we can deliver essential supplies when they are still needed, long after the initial surge of help has passed.
We invite the community to participate by hosting donation boxes in the lobbies of their buildings. This simple act of kindness allows tenants to contribute much-needed items from an approved list, ensuring continued relief for fire victims.
By focusing on the “second wave” of help, we aim to combat donation fatigue while providing vital support to those who are still recovering. Join us in making a lasting impact by signing up your building today.

Important Information
Step 1: Registering and Preparing for the drive, 1/15 - 1/19
- Inform your team and tenants that you'll be participating in a community drive that covers the Greater Los Angeles area with other BOMA/GLA and community member.

- Create/Distribute marketing material for your lobby, captivate, or in-house signage to promote the drive. (Don't worry, we will provide the marketing material to help)
Step 2: Drive collection dates, 1/20 -2/7
- Continue to promote drive by encouraging tenants to drop off items in the collection bins.
- Secure your collection items in a safe place for pick up at the end of the drive.
Step 3: Pick up dates or drop-off locations, 2/10 - 2/11
- You will be contacted to schedule a pick-up of your items at the end of the drive.
Step 4: Volunteer Sort Day, 2/15
- Participate in sort day at 2121 Avenue of the Stars, where all the volunteers get together and sort the items into groups for the participating charities to pick up.
